汽車發動機火花塞的狀況以及故障診斷

為什麼觀察發火端的外貌可以判斷汽車發動機故障的性質和原因。

這是因為，火花塞的外貌反映出發動機和火花塞的工作狀況，儲存著發動機內部的許多信息。因此，評判火花塞外貌是診斷髮動機運轉是否正常的一個重要內容。

如果排除火花塞本身的質量缺陷，導致火花塞發生故障的因素主要有以下三個方面：

1、火花塞選型不當，其熱值與發動機工作特性不匹配。火花塞的實際工作溫度超出正常的熱範圍。

2、發動機系統不正常。某些元件調整不當，燃油質量、空燃比等不符合要求。

3、火花塞安裝、調整、使用不當。

應當指出，火花塞只是發動機點火系統的一個元件，與整個系統緊密相連。因此，出了故障不要單純從火花塞的質量上找原因，應該仔細觀察火花塞外貌，考慮各方面的因素，才能找到排除故障的正確方法。

火花塞的正常工作外貌

如果發動機正常運轉，燃油質量和空燃比符合要求，火花塞使用一段較長時間後，絕緣體裙部為灰白色、灰黃至灰褐色。有的呈鐵銹色或紅色，是無鉛汽油的添加劑造成的。兩電極呈現褐灰色至微黑色，有輕微損耗。這是正常的工作外貌，說明火花塞熱值與發動機匹配良好，整個系統工況正常。

過熱

如果火花塞熱值偏低（絕緣體裙部相對較長），工作時吸收熱量多，溫度過高，絕緣體裙部被灼燒至「白熾」狀態。嚴重時會出現早期電火，產生很高的溫度將電極熔化。空燃比太大（混合氣太稀）也可能產生此種現象。

如果過熱太嚴重，點火提前角太大或使用低辛烷值燃料，則可能產生「爆燃」，導致中心電極熔化，絕緣體裙部損壞或端面被「燒酥」，其後果是點火中斷，汽缸損壞。

如果使用含鉛量過高的汽油，絕緣體局部會出現一層灰黃色釉。這種釉層是鉛的氧化物，在高速運行產生過熱時出現，稱為「釉化」或「鉛污損」。在急加速或高負荷行駛時易斷火。

若發現火花塞過熱，必須更換熱值較高（絕緣體裙部相對較短）的火花塞，例如將K6TC換成K7TC。

過冷

如果火花塞熱值偏高（絕緣體裙部相對較短），發動機在低速和低負荷工況下連續運行，火花塞發火端吸收熱量少，溫度若低於自淨溫度（含鉛汽油為450℃，無鉛汽油為500℃）則不能將混合氣燃燒產生的沉積物燒掉，於是出現「過冷」的工作外貌。按沉積物的不同，可分為「積炭」和「油污」。

積炭

絕緣體裙部、電極和殼體表面上覆蓋一層毛茸茸的黑色無光澤炭灰。如果空燃比太小，進入汽缸的混合氣太稠，或空氣過濾器嚴重污染，混合氣不完全燃燒所發生的炭粒便附著於發火端表面，在裙部表面溫度低於自淨溫度、不能將炭粒燒淨的情況下，產生「積炭」。

油污

火花塞發火端被油光發亮的炭灰或油炭覆蓋。這是由於活塞環磨損竄油，使潤滑油進入燃燒室所致。若是兩沖程發動機，則是混合氣中含油量過多。富油燃燒後的沉積物，因火花塞太冷不能「自淨」，形成「油污」。
積炭和油污都會降低裙部表面電阻，導致電流洩漏，不跳火或間斷跳火；發動機功率下降，工況不穩，甚至不工作。此時應更換熱值較低的火花塞，例如將K7TC更換為K6TC。

火花塞不正確安裝、使用產生的故障

中心電極非正常燒蝕

在工作過程中，火花間隙因電極蝕耗而擴大，如未及時調整，將提高點火電壓，並反過來加劇電極的燒蝕。如此反覆循環，造成中心電極嚴重燒蝕，火花塞必須更換。

導熱不良引發燒損

由於安裝力矩不足，外密封墊圈變形不充分，火花塞安裝座與汽缸蓋不密合，阻斷導熱通道，熱量不能及時排出，使溫度異常升高，引起熾熱點火，導致電極和裙部燒損。必須正確使用力矩扳手，按規定的安裝扭矩旋緊火花塞。

絕緣體裙部斷裂

產生原因是機械損傷，如敲擊、跌落或操作不當的時候中心電極受壓。
